 ***** NEWS UPDATE 1/08 **** There is not a lot of news to report as Takara-Tomy has pretty much put Microman line on slow burner. Mr. Abiko is not longer the head of Takara-Tomy Microman division. He is being replaced by Mr. Irisawa (from Kaiyodo). The main focus for 2008 for now is the Micro Action Series. Takara-Tomy will released repaint two-pack set of Kinnikuman figures along with the delayed toys from last year - Wingman and Lupin the Third series. Takara-Tomy announce Yattaman Series but this will no longer be part of Microman line (they however use Microman Full Action Body), perhaps another sign that Takara-Tomy is phasing out Microman brand. As for the core Microman series the only releases are also delayed toys from last year Wrecker Signa line. Again special thanks to Zira 28 (Yukiko) for always diligently sending me all the news and update, so any lateness in reporting them here is laziness on my part.

Above - these are not Microman toys but rather a new Revoltech series from Kaiyodo which strangely look very Microman-Force like. So if the recent lack of new Microman toys get you down, perhaps these will fill in the gap nicely. |
