Takara released Titan 2 as the
successor to the first Titan T40X in 1976. Titan 2 series were split
into two types - T43X or Racing Titan 2 and T44X or UFO Titan 2.
Unlike other Microman figures, Titan 2 designations were based on their accessories
instead of the figure designs. Both Titan 2 types had identical basic
body design and only differ in their accessories - a race car or a spaceship.

T441 UFO Titan 2
Titan 2 figure design was a
slight departure from the first series Titan (T40X). Titan 2 still
retained the robotic look but their body was more streamline and no longer
had the machinery chest piece. Titan 2 stood slightly taller than the
first Titan but shared the same Magemo-8 size ball joint magnetic
system. Also the Titan 2 head was even more robotic looking than the first
Titan. Titan 2 face look somewhat like a duck which cause
several fans to dub him Ducky Titan.

T442 UFO Titan 2
T44X Racing Titan 2 came with
spaceship accessories that transformed Titan into a UFO. Unlike
the UFO Titan 2, the UFO Titans can be seated inside the vehicle. The
UFO also had launching mechanism underneath and can be used to launch Titan
2 figure (attach to the roller wheels). Takara released two variants for
T44X UFO Titan 2 - T441 Icarus,
a white & blue figure with blue UFO parts and and T442 Achilles, a dark
green & black figure with red UFO parts.
